Day in the life of Harley
Well, I am now the proud owner of an adorable Tripawd. Miss Harley. Jack Russel Terrier mix, and she is the most adorable lovely lady. As everyone always is wondering “so how did you get her?” Well Here it is…
How harley came to be was my GF at the time workes at this vet clinic talked back and forth how I wanted a dog (having moved 900 miles from MO to TX, coming from a house with 2 dogs) I have always missed that companionship with a pet. So one day Im asked to come to her work to see this adorable stray that came in with a badly broken leg (just amputated), So I did. My heart immediately melted. I couldnt get her off my mind! Shes so adorable!!! Well as days went on My GF secretly started the paperwork to get her for me. I was asking questions and the more I heard I was slightly discouraged. Started with the amputation of her right rear leg, then it was BAD heartworms, then it was intestional worms.
This being my 1st dog alone (no family around to also care for her) I was slightly concerned. But the more I tought and the more time spent, it was like it was ment to be. Got her some pills from the clinic for the intestinal worms, bam taken care of. Got her on a good food diet, BAM starting to husk up. She goes in in 2 days for her BIG heartworm shots to hopefully knock out the heartworms then its off to basically solitude in my apartment for a month till I can get her out and start building her up.
1 day at a time, Shes already bulking up, alot more peppy, wagging her tail more, just happy to see anyone. Shes always at my 6. No matter if I walk to the bathroom, sit on the couch, or on the computer. There she is always next to me. Best part She makes me so happy and I am so glad to have her.
Look foreward to more posts about her and our aventures around the country as I travel.

Thanks guys. I want to go somewhere with her and so some much but with her heartworms shes still needs to be in the “calm no activity stage” for a couple months. She goes in for her first injection for her heartworms tomorrow, then her second on Friday, then its a solitude timeframe for her till shes better.
Hurts I have to do this to her but she needs it. I want her better.
Thanks for the kind words!!!!! Makes me feel good. I cant wait till she is better and my beach dog and my shotgun rider everywhere.
